Greatness, it is highly consequential and to the umpteenth degree. This is what junior Grant is striving to be, and produce with his clothing line Greatness The One. His brand is built on the idea that greatness is rare, yet, we should all strive to obtain. In order to do that, he says we need to shift our mindset from just trying to get by, to trying to have an impact on the world.
Grant has always been selective about the clothes he wore, so instead of taking the time to find clothes he liked, he made his own, and Greatness was born. Today, his brand has grown beyond the t-shirts he started with. In his 3rd collection he is including more unconventional pieces, like bandanas. Each piece that he’s made has meaning, and carefully selected to make a statement. For the bandanas he’s trying to take something associated with gangs and violence and but a positive spin on it—shifting the mindset. The way that he designs his clothing emphasizes that this isn’t a typical clothing line, it’s more than that. Greatness The One is a movement that’s lead through fashion, and designed for those who are motivated, driven and passionate about their work.
Grant’s 3rd collection will be premiering April 2nd, 2016 at NOiR Fashion Runway’s 17th Annual Show: Elements! He guarantees that this next collection will exceed people’s expectations, so stay tuned and we’ll see you at the show! Oh and did we mention he’s a fellow Wolverine?
NOiR is so excited to provide Grant with a platform to showcase his work and we’d like to thank our sponsor, Innovate Blue, for supporting NOiR and it’s student designers! Visit their website at www.innovateblue.umich.edu to see what they’re all about!
